OXMIQ Labs Partners AM Intelligence Labs to Build 2 GW Renewable-Powered AI Compute Platform

OXMIQ Labs

Hyderabad: OXMIQ Labs, the GPU architecture and AI technology company founded by Raja Koduri, has announced a strategic technology partnership with AM Intelligence Labs to architect one of the world’s largest renewable-powered AI compute platforms.

Under the collaboration, OXMIQ Labs will provide data center and system infrastructure advisory for AM Intelligence Labs’ planned 2 GW AI compute capability by 2030, starting with an initial 1 GW AI Compute Hub in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The initiative is designed to optimize the entire compute stack – from energy generation to AI workload delivery – while operating entirely on 100% renewable energy.

AM Intelligence Labs operates as a strategic business division of AM Group, the parent organization of Greenko, which is among India’s largest green energy producers.

The group has built a renewable capacity of 50 GW across solar, wind, and hydro, supported by 100 GWh of intelligent energy storage, and currently supplies approximately 2% of India’s total power demand.

The renewable energy powering the AI infrastructure will be owned and operated by the group, enabling carbon-free energy priced 50–70% lower than conventional data center power costs.

India Emerging as a Global AI Demand Hub

The partnership between OXMIQ Labs and AM Intelligence Labs comes at a time when India is rapidly emerging as a major center of demand in the global AI economy.

With a vast developer ecosystem, a fast-growing digital economy, and increasing enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence, the country is becoming one of the world’s largest markets for AI usage and token consumption.

AM Group has already commenced development of its flagship AI infrastructure initiative. Phase 1 of the Noida Compute Hub is currently under active execution.

The project aims to bring the initial compute capacity online by the end of 2027, marking a key milestone in the group’s plan to build one of the world’s largest renewable-powered AI compute platforms.

As part of this collaboration, OXMIQ Labs is working closely with AM Group to optimize system architecture, infrastructure design, and modular deployment strategy, ensuring the platform can scale rapidly while maintaining best-in-class efficiency and performance.

OXMIQ Labs to Architect End-to-End Compute Infrastructure

Under the agreement, OXMIQ Labs will serve as the architecture and engineering partner for the compute platform. The company will work alongside AM Intelligence Labs to design the systems architecture, hardware roadmap, and supply chain strategy required to support hyperscale AI infrastructure.

OXMIQ Labs brings extensive expertise spanning the full compute stack – from transistor-level GPU architecture and advanced packaging to rack-scale systems, high-performance interconnects, and orchestration software capable of operating AI workloads at massive scale.

Through this collaboration, OXMIQ Labs aims to deliver end-to-end optimization across the compute ecosystem, described as optimization “from photons to outcomes.”

This approach integrates renewable energy production with advanced AI compute infrastructure, enabling what the partners describe as zettascale economics for AI computing.

Fully Integrated Renewable-Powered AI Compute Platform

The 1 GW AI High Performance Compute Hub in Noida is being developed by AM Group as a fully vertically integrated platform. The initiative will combine multiple layers of infrastructure including:

  • Owned carbon-free renewable power generation
  • Advanced data center infrastructure
  • High-performance AI accelerators
  • A complete software stack
  • AI applications and developer ecosystem
  • Flexible consumption models such as AI Pods-as-a-Service and Tokens-as-a-Service

With OXMIQ Labs guiding system architecture, every layer – from renewable energy generation and data center design to liquid cooling systems, interconnect topology, accelerator selection, and workload orchestration – will be engineered as a unified platform.

This integrated approach is expected to deliver industry-leading electrons-to-tokens economics, significantly reducing the cost of AI compute while enabling deployment at gigawatt scale.

Raja Koduri, Founder and CEO, OXMIQ Labs:
“AM Intelligence Labs is the ideal partner for OXMIQ. They have solved the hardest constraint in large-scale AI infrastructure: access to reliable, carbon-free power at global scale. Our team has spent decades building silicon, systems, and software that power the world’s most advanced computing platforms.

Bringing that expertise into AM Intelligence Labs’ infrastructure from the first architectural decisions means every rack, every interconnect, every storage and cooling system is designed around the workloads and economics required for the AI era.”

Anil Chalamalasetty, Group Chairman, AM Group:
“OXMIQ gives AM Intelligence Labs access to some of the deepest hardware and systems expertise in the industry. Their team’s experience across leading Silicon Valley companies is exactly what we need to architect infrastructure that can compete globally. Together we are laying the foundation for AM Intelligence Labs to become a full-stack AI compute platform.”
